First Summer Assignment - Saints

I hope you are having a fantastic summer!

As I mentioned during our last class in May, you will have a couple of assignments to complete this summer. Today I will share with you the first one.

You should have already chosen your saint name for Confirmation. If you haven't, you need to get on the ball! Remember, in choosing a saint name you are really asking that saint to be your patron. He or she will pray for you and help you in life. And you will be able to turn to him or her for prayers, guidance, and protection. Choose carefully.

Your assignment is two fold:

First, I would like for you to comment on this post. Tell me in three sentences (or more if you choose) who your saint is, a fact about that saint, and why you chose that particular saint. Remember, keep it short! But write at least 3 sentences.

Please note that the commenting module on this site allows you to respond to the comments of others. I encourage you to converse with each other... and with me. Oh, and make sure that you tell us who you are!

If you are on Facebook or Twitter, you can log into the comment module with those respective profiles. If you have any trouble making comments, please email me and I will help you. My new email address is stpeterconfirmation@gmail.com.

Part 2 of the assignment: Just take the comments you make and go deeper with them. Tell me in more detail about your saint and why you chose him or her. Be as specific as possible. This "paper" (or you can think of it as a letter to me) needs to be typed and printed out. It is to be turned in when we return to classes in August. You should type at least one page.

Again, I hope you are having a wonderful summer. Please know that you, your sponsors, and you family are in our prayers.
