- Abbey Fest
All candidates must meet at the Youth House (add) at 7:00 AM on Saturday (March 13). We will sign in there and prepare to load the buses. Juice and donuts will be provided.
Before boarding the buses, I must have all necessary paperwork. Please check my recent emails if you need copies of the forms. Or you can download them here: ABBEY FEST FORMS.
The buses will return to the Youth House around 9:00 PM. Please be ready to pick up your son or daughter then.
WHAT TO BRING & WEAR
Abbey Fest is an all-day outdoor event. Please be mindful of weather forecasts and prepare accordingly. DO NOT WEAR tank tops, muscle shirts, or "short shorts." That goes for boys and girls.
Things you might want to bring:
- Rain gear
- Hats, umbrellas, hand water sprayers for cooling
- Backpacks
- Comfortable shoes
- Sunscreen, chap stick, hand sanitizer
- Blankets
WHAT NOT TO BRING
- Alcohol, drugs, firearms
- Laser pointers, fireworks, noisemakers, gag items
- Candles and matches
- Headphones, personal stereo & CD players, video games, MP3 players, or other entertainment devices (cell phones should be TURNED OFF during the event)
- Footballs, frisbees, baseballs, and any other item used in throwing games
MEALS & SPENDING MONEY
We have made arrangements for our group members to start out with $5.00 in tokens. This means that they will not have to stand in line to change money immediately after entering the gates. However, $5.00 will not get them through the day. Please bring extra money (each meal is about $5.00).
There are also religious items, t-shirts, books, CDs and the like available for purchase. You may want to bring extra money in case you would like to purchase some of these items (which help to keep the spirit of the day alive after you return home).
If you have any more questions, you can email me at stpeterconfirmation [at] gmail.com, or visit the website of Abbey Youth Fest.
See you early Saturday morning!
